Welcome to our website!  This is my first year at Conn Elementary but my 11th year teaching in Wake County.  In addition to 2nd grade, I’ve also taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade.  We are learning many new and exciting things in 2nd grade.  

I’m originally from Doylestown, Ohio but moved to North Carolina to teach.  I’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Childhood Development, as well as a Reading Endorsement at the University of Akron. 

My husband, who is also a teacher in Wake County, and I have two dogs.  Izzy, a Chocolate Lab mix and Sam, a German Shepherd mix.  We love spending time with them hiking and just being outdoors together.  Mr. Berwanger and I also love to travel.  A few summers ago we were able to spend a month traveling the U.S.  We drove across the country and went to many national parks to hike and cities/towns to explore and experience new things.   We also took a month to travel in Europe a few summers ago. We loved all the different cultures, landscapes, and foods we were able to experience.
